If you do not already know, my favorite sport by far would have to be track. Last weekend was invitationals and I ran the 400 m.d. After running that race I walked to the infeild and noticed that my foot wa hurting. I did not notice it at first because of the adrenhalin from the race. Right after the 400 was the 4 by 200 relay. I started to run but my foot wasin so much pain that I could not even run on my tip toes. (You should always run on you toes, not on the balls of your feet if you are a sprinter) When I realized that I could not I was really mad because they had to find a replacemet for me. The next day we went to davidson so this guy could check out my foot. I was not that nervous at first because I had never broken any bone before and I thought it was just going to be bruised for a few days. However, the guy told me that the muscle in the arch of my foot had swolen and I should go to Orthopedic ! to get it looked at. This was when I started to freak ouy because I was slowly seeing the record for the $000 hundred slip away from me. After that, we went to Orthopedic One, and I had to get an MRI. The results from it said that I had fractured 3 bones in my foot an d i was going to need a boot and crutches, Now this was when I had it and i just wanted to ball my eyes out. He said that I was going to have to wear it for 4 weeks and track season only had 3 weeks left. Even though I am crushed that I can not get the record this year and not run with my teamates, I will still go to the track meets and cheer them on because they always did for me after I would won. Hopefully, next year I will not get injured and run the sport that I love.
